WILDLIFE ART

by

M. MICHELLE WRIGHT-WATSON

Have you ever been camping or taken a long walk in nature on a cool summer evening? Did you notice a sense of ease and happiness? Feeling a connection to nature makes me feel at peace, content to be in this world. Wild animals live as a part of nature 100% of the time. This leads me to know that they experience very high quality, peaceful, happy lives.

The American television and film industry leads many people to believe that animals live in a state of visious agitation, ready to to strike, to kill or mame at any moment. Carnivors do eat meat, and they do not have a grocery store as we do. Hunting is part of their life, but only a small part. Much of their time is spent playing, socializing, loving, and caring for their young. Living in the blissful state of being one with nature.

In my work I seek to express the PEACEFUL and PLAYFUL moments in the lives of animals.
